- We will contact you to arrange an initial site meeting.
At this first meeting we will discuss your requirements, show you much visual imagery and under-take a comprehensive Client Questionnaire. This will ensure we know exactly what it is you require from your new garden. From this meeting we formulate a Client Brief.
- We will then complete a photographic and measured survey/appraisal of your garden.
The survey drawing of your existing garden will form part of your design package and will be utilised in the creation of sketch designs.

- We will prepare a sketch design based on the Client Brief and survey/appraisal.
The sketch designs will explore alternatives and options which meet the Client Brief and maximise the full potential of your garden. The drawings will be sent to you 3-7 days in advance of the 'presentation of sketch designs meeting'. This will give you time to digest, discuss and formulate opinions prior to meeting with Avant-Gardens.
- Presentation of sketch designs meeting.

This meeting will be a forum to discuss the options and finalise a sketch design . This meeting will also be used to consider construction materials and special features (such as lighting, water features and garden ornamentation) .
From this meeting we will then produce a full set of drawings which will include:
- Site Survey and Appraisal
- Masterplan and Imagery
- Planting Plans
- Construction Drawings (if required)

At this stage you will have a full set of drawings to enable your garden to be constructed. You now have three choices:
- Avant-Gardens will provide a full quotation for costs, and time-frame, for construction.
The benefits of employing Avant-Gardens to construct your new garden are significant. We wll already have established a working relationship of understanding and trust with you. The many hours we would have spent with you whilst designing your garden means no other company will be in a better position to understand your needs and expectations. The design will never be misinterpreted by Avant-Gardens.
We are confident that there will be enough detail contained in the drawings to enable you to construct the garden as time and budget allow.
- Construction by a Local Contractor
The package of drawings will enable you to select an alternative contractor, if preferred, to provide detailed quotations for construction.
Whilst we are happy for you to use an alternative contractor to construct from our designs, to maintain our high standards and reputation, we only ever construct gardens that we have designed.

At Avant-Gardens we provide a full After-Care Service. All our work is gauranteed - you will not be asked for a final paymant until you are fully satisfied with the implemtation of both hard and soft landscaping. We will replace 'free-of-charge' any plants that do not successfully establish within the first 3 months. We will visit you shortly after the new garden has been 'handed over' to ensure all is going well. We will, of course, be happy to discuss any concerns you may have, or offer advice, at any time after implementation. Additionally, for a modest fee, we will be happy to under-take any routine maintenance you may require - such as seasonal prunmg.
"We will ensure that your garden doesn't just grow, but flourishes!"

Design Costs
The cost for the design package outlined above - including 1x sketch will be £500.
or
The cost for the package outlined above, but including an additional 2x sketch designs (3 in total) will be £750.
The above costs will apply to gardens upto 200m2 - we will be happy to quote for gardens larger than this.
Construction Costs
The cost for construction will depend on the materials selected, the size of plants used and the type of design. In general, hard landscaping is more expensive than soft landscaping and a garden with immediate maturity will cost more because bigger specimens will be used.
We will discuss with you your budgetary constraints, before any design work is started.
