Avant-Gardens is a successful, and expanding, business run by Peter Buss and Vicki Keeble.

Peter's background was formerly I.T. where he worked for many years as a Systems Programmer.  He retrained as a garden designer during  the early nineties and obtained a BA(Hons) degree in Garden Design with the University of Greenwich. 

He was the founder of Avant-Gardens and originally offered a design only service, but after having serious concerns about the lack of quality received when using third party contractors, and designs being  mis-interpreted, he moved into the area of construction as well as design.  As well as working for private clients, we also work for a number of commercial clients including: architects, developers and social housing and NHS authorities.  

Vicki Keeble has a background in the building industry and was formerley a Sales and Marketing director with Laing Homes, a major house builder. 

We have a team of professional craftsmen to construct our gardens including a bricklayer, carpenter and electrician.

The running of the business is shared operation, with Peter doing the design work and managing the construction side of the business (often in a hands-on-role).  Vicki takes main responsibility for the pricing and project management of jobs as well as promotional activities.
